The oral and maxillofacial surgeons is the key person to have the dental implant done. They specialize in adjunctive treatment for diagnosing any type of disease, and surgically remove any type of disease. Even if there is any type of damage to the tissues of the gums the aspects of the functional and aesthetic of both the hard and the soft tissues.

So, if you do have some type of tissue damage or the gums or have aspects of both the hard and soft tissue. Then your dentist would be sending you to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

An oral and maxillofacial surgeon graduated from an accredited dental school and had to have four (4) additional years of training. In the four (4) extra years of training, they were training in a hospital based setting in an oral and maxillofacial residency program.
